Indian EV maker Ultraviolette has announced plans to set up a new manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, targeting an annual output of 250,000 electric vehicles.
Ultraviolette, a rising player in India’s electric vehicle market, has announced the establishment of a new production facility in the state of Tamil Nadu. The plant is slated to begin operations next year, with a projected capacity of 250,000 EVs per annum. The company said the location was chosen for its strategic logistics network and proximity to key suppliers. "This facility will enable us to meet growing demand and accelerate our electrification roadmap," a company spokesperson said. The move is part of a broader trend of EV manufacturers expanding in southern India, where state incentives and a growing charging infrastructure are attracting investment.
