Delhi's fire services will deploy 71 stations, 50 Quick Response Vehicles, and 20 Motorcycle First Responder units on Diwali and the preceding day to ensure public safety.

As the festival of Diwali approaches, the Delhi Fire Services have finalized a comprehensive deployment plan to handle potential emergencies. The primary objective is to ensure rapid response times across the capital during the high-risk period of the festival.

According to the preparedness plan, a total of 71 fire stations will remain fully operational. These stations will be staffed and equipped to handle any incidents related to fire or rescue operations that may arise due to the increased use of fireworks and electrical appliances.

To enhance mobility and speed, the department will deploy 50 Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs). These vehicles are designed to reach incident locations faster than standard fire engines, particularly in areas with heavy traffic congestion. Additionally, 20 Motorcycle First Responder (MCFR) units will be deployed to navigate through narrow lanes and traffic jams, providing immediate initial assistance.

This intensified deployment will be active on the day of Diwali and the day preceding the festival. The strategy aims to minimize response times and ensure that emergency services are accessible to residents throughout the capital.
