Udaipur Land Fraud: Bhawan Singh Rao Arrested for Fake Lease Deed

The Special Investigation Group (SIG) of Udaipur Municipal Corporation has taken Bhawan Singh Rao into custody on charges of land fraud. Rao allegedly used forged documents in the name of his late father to secure a lease deed for a municipal plot and subsequently sold the property. The investigation revealed that the lease deed was obtained through falsified paperwork, allowing Rao to transfer ownership illegally. This arrest follows a series of 11 detentions linked to the same land‑fraud scheme. Authorities are now probing the extent of the network involved and the financial gains accrued from the illicit transactions.
