Two employees of the Thane collectorate were arrested on allegations of accepting a bribe of ₹50,000. The arrests were made following a vigilance operation.
The anti-corruption wing of the Maharashtra police detained the two officials after a trap operation at the Thane collectorate office. They were allegedly caught taking the money from a citizen seeking a government service.
The bribe amount involved is reported to be ₹50,000. Both employees have been taken into custody for questioning.
