Police detained two suspects found carrying five illegal firearms, and identified one of them as a wanted criminal in eight separate cases.
Police officials seized five illegal pistols during a recent operation that resulted in the arrest of two men. The suspects were taken into custody after the weapons were discovered during a routine check, prompting a swift investigation.
The confiscated firearms, described as unregistered handguns, are believed to have been part of a broader illegal arms network. Authorities have not disclosed the exact location of the seizure, citing ongoing investigative procedures.
Investigators revealed that one of the arrested individuals is already wanted in eight separate criminal cases, though details of those cases remain under seal. The suspect’s prior record has heightened concerns about the potential misuse of the seized weapons.
The police have opened a case under the Arms Act and are pursuing further leads to uncover any additional illegal activity linked to the firearms and the accused parties.
