Two Cyber Thugs Arrested in Ajmer for National Scholarship Portal Scam

Ajmer police have arrested two individuals involved in defrauding minority students by submitting fraudulent applications on the National Scholarship Portal. A significant amount of digital data was recovered from the accused.

Ajmer police have apprehended two cybercriminals who allegedly orchestrated a scam by filing fake applications on the National Scholarship Portal. The duo is accused of misappropriating scholarship funds intended for minority students.

During the arrest, authorities seized a substantial cache of digital data from the suspects. This includes 85 SIM cards, 2100 bank accounts, and 2000 Aadhaar cards, which were reportedly used to facilitate the fraudulent activities.

The operation by the Ajmer police successfully dismantled a part of the cyber fraud network targeting educational financial aid. Further investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of the operation and identify any other individuals involved.
