Two Chinese-made grenades recovered in South Kashmir during CASO

During a Counter‑Insurgency (CASO) operation in South Kashmir, security personnel recovered two grenades that were identified as being manufactured in China. The weapons were seized while the forces were conducting a routine sweep of the area, and they have been handed over to the bomb disposal unit for safe disposal. Authorities have not disclosed the exact location or the date of the operation, citing operational security. The recovery underscores the ongoing vigilance of security agencies in the region against the infiltration of foreign‑made armaments. Officials said a thorough investigation will be launched to trace the source of the grenades and to determine whether they were intended for illicit use or had been smuggled into the valley.
