Two Cannabis Smugglers Arrested in Anupur, Kotwali Police Seize 5.6 kg Weed and Bike

Kotwali police in Anupur intercepted a two-wheeler at the Koylri Tiraha junction, where two individuals were attempting to transport cannabis. The officers detained both suspects and secured the vehicle.\nThe raid yielded 5.60 kilograms of marijuana, estimated to be worth around Rs 50,600, along with a motorcycle valued at approximately Rs 80,000. Both the narcotic material and the bike were seized as evidence.\nThe arrested persons have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and a formal investigation has been launched by the local police.\nAuthorities emphasized that the operation is part of an ongoing effort to curb drug trafficking in the region, urging the public to report any suspicious activity related to narcotics.
