On Tuesday, a fatal collision occurred on National Highway 48 near Dwaraalu Bridge in Shira taluk, Tumakuru district, Karnataka. The accident claimed the lives of 25‑year‑old Darsan and his 21‑year‑old wife Usharani, who had been married just a month and a half ago. Darsan was pronounced dead at the scene, while Usharani, who was severely injured, died en route to the hospital.
The couple was traveling by motorcycle towards Bangalore when an unidentified vehicle collided with them. The identity and nature of the other vehicle remain unknown.
