Tiger Spotted Crossing Road Near Bhopal, Forest Dept Deploys Drone and Dog Squad

A tiger was seen walking across the Obedullaganj toll barrier road, a short distance from Bhopal, and motorists recorded the incident on their phones. The footage quickly spread on social media, drawing attention to the unexpected presence of a large predator on a busy highway.

Following the viral video, the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department dispatched a team equipped with aerial drones to locate the animal and assess its movements. In parallel, a trained dog squad was sent to track the tiger's scent along the road and surrounding forest patches.

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution on the stretch of road and to report any further sightings. While tigers occasionally wander into human‑occupied areas in search of prey, officials are monitoring the situation closely to ensure both public safety and the animal's well‑being.

The department has not confirmed whether the tiger was captured or safely guided back to the forest, and the search operation remains ongoing.
