The Indian Meteorological Department forecasts mixed weather for Rajasthan on Saturday, with thunderstorms and light rain expected in districts such as Jaipur, while temperatures in Jaisalmer could soar to 41°C.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a weather outlook for Saturday that predicts a patchwork of conditions across Rajasthan. While some areas will experience relief from the lingering heat, others are set to face thunderstorms and brief showers.
In districts such as Jaipur, the IMD has highlighted a high likelihood of gusty winds, thunder, and light rain during the afternoon and early evening. Residents are advised to secure loose objects and avoid outdoor activities when storms pass.
Conversely, the desert district of Jaisalmer is expected to endure scorching temperatures, with maximum readings projected to reach 41°C. The extreme heat may pose health risks, especially for outdoor workers and vulnerable populations.
Authorities in both urban and rural zones have been urged to issue heat‑wave advisories, ensure adequate water supply, and monitor power grids for potential overloads as the state navigates these contrasting weather patterns.
