A fight over half a biswa of land between two neighbours in Badoda, Alwar, turned violent, leaving three women injured, one in serious condition.
A violent clash erupted in Badoda, a village in Alwar district of Rajasthan, over a dispute concerning half a biswa of agricultural land. The disagreement involved two neighbouring families and quickly escalated when physical weapons were used.
According to local police reports, the confrontation saw the assailants wielding sticks (referred to locally as "sariyan") and a metal implement known as a "farshi." Three women who were present at the scene were struck during the melee. One of the victims sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency care, while the other two received treatment for less severe wounds.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported and have registered a FIR under sections relating to assault and causing grievous hurt. The injured women are currently under medical observation, and investigators are questioning witnesses to establish the exact sequence of events.
Land disputes are a recurring source of tension in many parts of rural Rajasthan, often stemming from unclear ownership records and competing claims. Authorities have urged residents to resolve such matters through legal channels rather than resorting to violence.
The district administration has pledged to monitor the situation closely and to take swift action against those found responsible for the assault, emphasizing that any form of violence will not be tolerated.
