Tikamgarh district officials said that a grim discovery was made in a remote village of the district on Monday. The bodies of a woman and her two young children were recovered after locals reported a suspicious scene.
The woman's corpse was found hanging from a tree, while the two children’s bodies lay at the bottom of a nearby well. Both the hanging and the well were sealed by villagers until police arrived to retrieve the remains.
Family members from both the maternal and paternal sides have presented conflicting statements about the incident, and investigators are treating the case as a homicide pending further forensic examination.
