Ganderbal Police Reshuffle: New SHOs Posted to Sonamarg and Gund

Ganderbal district police officials issued an order to reassign senior police officers, appointing fresh Station House Officers for the Sonamarg and Gund police stations. The move aims to strengthen law‑enforcement presence in these high‑altitude tourist destinations, which have seen an increase in visitor numbers during the peak season. The newly appointed SHOs will assume charge immediately, overseeing routine policing duties and coordinating with local administration on security matters. Police sources said the reshuffle is part of a routine rotation to enhance operational efficiency and address any emerging challenges in the region.
