The Telangana government is monitoring the ongoing floods in Nepal and has listed 23 individuals eligible for assistance.

The state administration of Telangana has begun closely observing the severe flooding that has struck parts of Nepal this week. Officials from the Disaster Management Department are receiving regular updates from Nepalese authorities and international agencies to gauge the scale of the disaster.

Based on the information gathered, Telangana has identified 23 flood‑affected persons who qualify for humanitarian assistance under its outreach programme. The assistance package is expected to include emergency relief supplies such as food, clean water, and medical kits.

While the primary focus remains on the Nepalese crisis, the Telangana government says the monitoring exercise also helps refine its own disaster‑response mechanisms. Coordination with the central Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Disaster Management Authority is ongoing to ensure timely support.

No financial commitments have been disclosed yet, but the state has pledged to mobilise resources as soon as the central government finalises the aid framework. The monitoring team will continue to track the situation and update the list of beneficiaries if more victims are identified.
