The Telangana government has mandated that all private schools must publicly display their fee structures on notice boards and official websites, aiming to increase transparency for parents.
The Telangana Education Department issued a directive today requiring all private schools in the state to post their fee structures on notice boards and on their official websites.
The order, effective from May 1, 2024, specifies that fee details must be displayed in a clear, readable format and updated annually. Schools are also instructed to provide a downloadable PDF version for parents.
Officials say the move is intended to curb hidden costs and give parents a transparent view of what they are paying for education.
Private schools have been notified to comply within 30 days, with the state education department reserving the right to inspect and enforce the directive.
