Operation Firewall 2026 has uncovered a Pakistan-backed espionage network, prompting the Indian Navy to place several of its officers under investigation.
Operation Firewall 2026, a joint intelligence operation, revealed a covert network allegedly run by Pakistan's intelligence services operating across India.
The probe identified several Indian Navy personnel suspected of passing information to the spy ring, leading to their being placed under scrutiny by the navy’s internal security cell.
Defence officials declined to name the officers but said disciplinary action will follow if any breach of protocol is proven. The navy has tightened vetting procedures and is cooperating with other security agencies.
The discovery comes amid heightened India‑Pakistan tensions, underscoring the ongoing challenges of protecting military secrets.
