A Telangana consumer commission ruled that Kapil Chits must release a delayed Rs 15 lakh chit prize, citing that the company’s own records show the required sureties were submitted on March 28, 2019.
The Telangana State Consumer Commission has ordered Kapil Chits to release a delayed Rs 15 lakh chit prize, after a dispute over the timing of required sureties.
Kapil Chits had argued that the payout was postponed because the applicant, Eashwar, submitted the necessary sureties late, and the company needed time to verify the documents.
However, the commission examined the company’s own records and found that the sureties were in fact submitted on March 28, 2019, well before the deadline.
With this finding, the commission directed the company to disburse the prize money immediately, citing that the delay was unwarranted and that the applicant was entitled to the award.
