In the recent local body polls across Andhra Pradesh, the TDP‑led National Democratic Alliance captured 12 of the 13 mayoral positions, leaving the YSR Congress Party with only the Anantapur seat.
The Andhra Pradesh local body elections concluded with a decisive victory for the TDP‑led National Democratic Alliance, which won 12 of the 13 mayoral positions across the state. The remaining mayoral seat was secured by the YSR Congress Party in Anantapur. The results reflect a significant shift in local governance, with the NDA gaining control over most municipal administrations. The YSRCP’s lone win in Anantapur highlights a localized support base, but overall the party’s influence in local bodies has diminished.
