Tata Consultancy Services’ HyperVault unit will construct a 1‑gigawatt AI‑focused data centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, as part of a ₹70,000 crore initiative.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced that its HyperVault division will develop a 1‑gigawatt artificial‑intelligence data centre in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. The facility is slated to be one of the largest AI‑centric data hubs in the country, designed to support high‑performance computing workloads.
The project is part of a broader ₹70,000 crore investment programme that TCS describes as historic for the Indian technology sector. Funding will cover land acquisition, construction, power infrastructure and advanced cooling systems required for a data centre of this scale.
Industry analysts expect the Hyderabad centre to boost the region’s digital ecosystem, attract AI start‑ups and create skilled jobs. TCS plans to commence construction later this year, with the centre expected to become operational within the next two to three years, subject to regulatory clearances and power supply arrangements.
