Renewable energy firm Suzlon has announced a ₹10,000 crore investment plan for Andhra Pradesh, aiming to expand its wind power capacity in the state.
Suzlon, one of India’s largest wind‑turbine manufacturers, said it will allocate up to ₹10,000 crore over the coming years to develop new wind farms and related infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
The massive outlay is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, stimulate ancillary industries and help the state move closer to its renewable‑energy targets under the national clean‑energy mission.
State officials welcomed the proposal, noting that Andhra Pradesh already hosts several wind projects and that the additional capacity could significantly raise the state’s installed wind power.
The investment aligns with India’s broader goal of reaching 450 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, positioning the state as a key hub for future wind development.
