Students Storm Patna Over Daroga Recruitment, Break Barricades, Head Toward CM Residence

A large group of aspirants gathered in Patna on Saturday to press for the release of the Bihar Daroga recruitment results and to highlight demands related to the BPSC 70th exam and BSSSC. The protesters, many of whom are students preparing for various state-level competitive examinations, set up barricades outside the police headquarters and later forced their way through, causing a brief disruption in traffic.

The crowd, estimated at several hundred, marched towards the official residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, chanting slogans and holding placards that listed 13 specific demands, including transparent recruitment procedures and timely publication of merit lists. Police units equipped with riot gear were deployed along the route, and a few officers used batons to disperse the advancing protesters.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that no serious injuries were reported, though a few minor scuffles occurred. The administration has said it will review the grievances and meet representatives of the candidates, while urging the demonstrators to maintain peace.

The incident underscores growing frustration among job seekers in Bihar over delayed recruitment results and perceived irregularities in the selection process for police and other state services.
