The Department of Science and Technology has announced a new initiative to install free interactive science laboratories in 100 selected taluk‑center schools across the state. The move aims to promote practical learning among children in rural areas.
The advanced hands‑on labs will provide students with access to modern scientific equipment and resources, enabling them to conduct experiments and engage in experiential learning. The initiative is expected to enhance the quality of science education and foster interest in STEM subjects.
Officials said the labs will be equipped with safety gear, instructional materials, and training for teachers to ensure effective use. The project is part of a broader effort to improve educational infrastructure in rural communities.
