Indian Railways will operate a special train between Kota and Rasheedpur Khori for three days in November, halting at eight stations to manage the festive rush.
The Ministry of Railways announced a special service to address the surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming festive season. A dedicated train will run between Kota and Rasheedpur Khori, two key stations in Rajasthan, starting in November.
The train is scheduled to operate for three consecutive days in each direction, providing additional capacity for travelers. It will call at eight intermediate stations, allowing passengers from smaller towns to board without needing to travel to the main terminals.
Railway officials indicated that the extra service is expected to ease congestion on regular trains and reduce waiting times at stations. The fare structure will remain identical to that of standard passenger trains, and tickets will be available through the usual booking channels.
By introducing this temporary link, the rail network aims to ensure smoother journeys for holiday‑goers and support the region’s heightened travel demand during the celebrations.
