The Sikkim government has introduced free coaching programmes for the JEE and NEET entrance exams and unveiled an assistance scheme aimed at candidates preparing for government jobs.
Sikkim's state administration announced a new initiative that provides free coaching for students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The programme is intended to remove financial barriers and give aspirants from all backgrounds access to quality preparation resources.
In addition to the coaching centres, the government introduced an aid scheme for individuals seeking employment in the public sector. The scheme is designed to support job aspirants with counseling, skill‑development workshops and, where needed, financial assistance for application fees.
Officials said the twin measures aim to strengthen the state's human capital by improving success rates in competitive exams and enhancing the employability of young residents. The initiatives will be rolled out across existing educational institutions in Sikkim, with enrollment open to all eligible candidates.
