The Chief Minister of Sikkim performed a Vastu Puja today at the newly constructed Jan Sewa Bhawan in Lumsey, formally opening the public service centre. The ceremony, rooted in traditional Hindu practice, is intended to invite positive energy and auspiciousness for the building's future use.
Jan Sewa Bhawan, built to house various government services under one roof, aims to streamline citizen interactions with state departments. Officials highlighted that the centre will provide easier access to services such as land records, health certificates, and welfare schemes for residents of the Lumsey region.
State authorities said the inauguration reflects the government's commitment to improving administrative outreach in remote areas of Sikkim. The Vastu Puja, conducted by the CM along with senior officials, marked the first official use of the facility.
