Sourabh Chandrakar, formerly employed in a shop, is now identified as the organiser of an illegal betting application, according to Hindustan Times.
Sourabh Chandrakar, who earlier worked as a shop attendant, has come under scrutiny after being linked to an illegal betting application. The transition from a retail job to a role in illicit gambling operations marks a stark change in his professional trajectory.
Media reports indicate that Chandrakar is now acting as an organiser for the betting platform, coordinating activities that facilitate unauthorized wagering. While details of the app’s operations remain limited, investigators have noted the involvement of individuals with modest backgrounds entering the underground betting market.
Law enforcement agencies have taken note of Chandrakar’s alleged role and are reportedly monitoring the situation. The case underscores growing concerns about the proliferation of illegal gambling services and the pathways through which ordinary workers become entangled in such networks.
Authorities have warned that participation in unlicensed betting can attract severe legal consequences, and they continue to pursue leads to dismantle the app’s infrastructure.
