Shiv Sena leader Mangesh Chivte readies rebellion within Mahayuti alliance

Mangesh Chivte, a senior figure in Shiv Sena, has been reported to be organising a dissenting faction within the Mahayuti alliance. Sources close to the party say the leader is seeking support from like‑minded legislators to challenge the current coalition leadership.

Mahayuti, the three‑party alliance of Shiv Sena, the Nationalist Congress Party and the Congress in Maharashtra, has been facing internal strains since its formation. The alleged move by Chivte adds another layer of tension, raising questions about the stability of the coalition ahead of upcoming legislative sessions.

Political analysts caution that any open rebellion could trigger a reshuffle of power dynamics in the state, potentially affecting governance and policy implementation. The Shiv Sena high command has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
