Prominent actors and musicians, including Shabana Azmi and Vishal Dadlani, took part in a Mumbai demonstration organised by the Citizens' Judicial Panel to protest against Gyanesh Kumar.
In Mumbai, a demonstration organised by the Citizens' Judicial Panel (CJP) turned into a high‑profile rally when several well‑known personalities from the film and music industry joined the protest against Gyanesh Kumar. The gathering was held at a central location in the city, drawing media attention for the presence of senior artists.
Veteran actress Shabana Azmi and popular composer‑singer Vishal Dadlani were among the celebrities who marched alongside activists. Their participation underscored the growing willingness of cultural figures to align with civic movements demanding accountability.
The protestors allege that Gyanesh Kumar, a public official, is implicated in actions that the CJP deems detrimental to public interest. Demonstrators called for a transparent inquiry and for the official to step down pending investigation.
Law enforcement monitored the rally, ensuring it remained peaceful. No arrests were reported, and organizers said the protest concluded without incident, emphasizing that the presence of artists helped keep the demonstration orderly.
