Seven workers dead, 20 injured in Bolero‑truck collision in Kutch, Gujarat

A Bolero SUV collided with a truck on a highway in Kutch district, Gujarat, killing seven construction workers and injuring twenty others.
A Bolero utility vehicle struck a heavy truck on a state highway near the town of Kutch in Gujarat on Tuesday. The collision caused the vehicle to overturn, trapping several labourers who were travelling on the road.
Emergency services arrived within minutes and rushed the injured to nearby hospitals. Seven of the workers, all male, were pronounced dead at the scene, while twenty others sustained injuries ranging from minor cuts to serious fractures.
Police have opened an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash, including whether speed, vehicle condition or road factors played a role. The district administration has announced compensation for the families of the deceased, as per state guidelines.
