Seven aspirants were initiated into Jainism in Sikar under Acharya Vardhaman Sagar Maharaj, marking the first joint ceremony in nearly four decades.
In Sikar, Rajasthan, a rare Jain initiation ceremony took place as seven seekers were formally inducted under the guidance of Acharya Vardhaman Sagar Maharaj. The event was held at the Moksha Kalyanak shrine dedicated to Lord Parshvanath, a revered figure in Jain tradition.
Organisers highlighted that this is the first time in 39 years that a group of seven aspirants has received initiation simultaneously, underscoring the significance of the gathering for the local Jain community.
Prior to the formal initiation, the seven mukti‑seekers participated in a Shobhayatra, a ceremonial procession that showcased devotional fervor and drew onlookers from the surrounding area.
The ceremony concluded with the traditional rites of Diksha, after which the newly initiated members pledged to observe the vows of Jain monastic life, reinforcing the spiritual continuity of the faith in the region.
