The Sabarmati-Katra Express has been upgraded to provide direct connectivity to the Vaishno Devi base camp, with new halts added to the route for pilgrims.
Indian Railways has enhanced the travel experience for pilgrims by introducing direct connectivity from the Sabarmati-Katra Express to the Vaishno Devi base camp. This operational change aims to simplify the journey for devotees traveling from Gujarat to the holy shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.
The train service has been modified to include new halts along the route, ensuring better accessibility for passengers. By linking the express directly to the base camp, the railway administration seeks to reduce the need for additional local travel arrangements for pilgrims.
This update is expected to benefit a large number of devotees who rely on rail transport for their pilgrimage. The addition of these stops reflects a strategic move to improve infrastructure and service quality for religious tourism in the region.
