Rohit Sharma sealed a thrilling win by striking a six in the Super Over, after Virat Kohli notched his 50th ODI century.
In a high‑octane limited‑overs encounter, India was forced into a Super Over after the regular 50 overs ended in a tie. The decisive moment arrived when Rohit Sharma, batting at the crease, lofted a six that crossed the boundary, securing a dramatic victory for his side.
The six came off the final ball of the Super Over, leaving the opposition with no chance to chase the target. The bowler, whose identity was not disclosed in the source, could not contain Sharma's aggressive stroke, and the six settled the match in India's favour.
The win followed a notable performance by Virat Kohli, who celebrated his 50th ODI century earlier in the game, adding to the day's cricketing milestones. The report also recalled MS Dhoni's infamous run‑out in the 2019 World Cup, a historic moment that continues to be referenced in discussions of Indian cricket.
With the victory, India reinforced its reputation for handling pressure situations, especially in the fast‑moving format of the game, and the performance will be analysed by pundits ahead of upcoming series.
