RIICO Officials Caught Taking Bribe

In a surprise move, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two senior officials of the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) for allegedly taking a bribe. The officials, including a senior DGM and a junior assistant, were caught red-handed while accepting the bribe in exchange for issuing a lease deed. The trap operation was conducted simultaneously in Ajmer and Beawar. The senior DGM was just 21 days away from retirement when he was caught. The ACB had received a complaint about the officials demanding a bribe for issuing the lease deed, following which the trap operation was planned and executed.
