Rewa Engineer Caught Taking Bribe

In a significant crackdown on corruption, the Lokayukta team in Rewa has arrested the chief engineer of the Public Works Department, Kailash Kumar Lachche, for taking a bribe of 50,000 rupees. The engineer was caught red-handed at his government residence while accepting the bribe. According to reports, Lachche was demanding the bribe in exchange for awarding a contract. His non-official associate, Dharmveer Bharti, was also arrested in the raid. The arrest is a major blow to corruption in the state's public works department.
