The Rajasthan Destination Management (RDTM) and MICE Trade Mission (MTM) are steering trade attention towards attractions beyond the state’s traditional Golden Triangle circuit.
Rajasthan Destination Management (RDTM) partnered with the MICE Trade Mission (MTM) to promote the state’s lesser‑known destinations to domestic and international tour operators. The joint initiative highlighted heritage sites, wildlife sanctuaries and cultural experiences that lie outside the popular Delhi‑Agra‑Jaipur corridor.
During a series of B2B meetings, representatives showcased itineraries that include the desert villages of Barmer, the historic forts of Bundi, and the wildlife corridors of Ranthambore and Keoladeo. Organisers said the aim is to diversify visitor flows and extend tourist stays beyond the conventional three‑day circuit.
Industry participants welcomed the push, noting that Rajasthan’s rich cultural tapestry offers ample scope for niche travel segments such as heritage walks, culinary tours and eco‑adventures. The RDTM‑MTM collaboration is expected to translate into new tour packages and increased bookings for off‑beat locations in the coming season.
