The sequel Ramayana 2, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, has been delayed to 2028 with a Diwali release confirmed.
Bollywood Hungama reports that the much‑anticipated sequel "Ramayana 2" will not hit screens as earlier planned. The film’s release has been pushed back to the year 2028, marking a significant postponement for the project.
The movie is set to feature leading actors Ranbir Kapoor and Yash in pivotal roles, a pairing that has generated considerable buzz among fans and industry observers alike. Producers have now earmarked the Indian festival of Diwali in 2028 as the target date for the film’s theatrical debut.
The delay, while disappointing to some, is being positioned as an opportunity to fine‑tune the production and align its launch with one of the country’s biggest box‑office windows. Stakeholders remain confident that the star‑studded cast and the festive release timing will drive strong audience turnout when the film finally arrives.
The announcement underscores the fluid nature of big‑budget film schedules in the Indian entertainment sector, where logistical, creative and market considerations often dictate final release calendars.
