In its opening week, the Rajinikanth‑led ‘Jailer 2’ grossed about 46 times the revenue of Vidyut Jammwal’s ‘Street Fighter’, according to box‑office data reported by Livemint.
The Tamil‑language sequel ‘Jailer 2’, headlined by superstar Rajinikanth, posted a first‑week gross that dwarfs most recent releases, according to Livemint’s box‑office report.
Livemint’s figures show the film earned roughly 46 times the revenue generated by Vidyut Jammwal’s action drama ‘Street Fighter’ over the same period.
The stark contrast highlights the enduring market pull of Rajinikanth’s brand, while ‘Street Fighter’, despite its high‑octane premise, struggled to attract comparable audiences.
Both movies opened across a similar number of screens nationwide, suggesting the disparity stems largely from star power and audience expectations rather than distribution reach.
