The State Election Commission reported that, as of 1 pm on the polling day, overall voter turnout in Rajasthan’s local body elections had reached 44.90%. The figure reflects the combined participation across all municipal and panchayat bodies that went to the polls.
Among the urban centres, Baroda emerged as the frontrunner, with 75.13% of eligible voters casting their ballots. The high turnout in Baroda suggests strong local engagement and effective voter mobilisation efforts by political parties and civil society groups.
In contrast, the Ajmer Municipal Corporation recorded the lowest participation, with only 35.61% of registered voters turning out. Analysts attribute the lag to factors such as voter fatigue, limited awareness campaigns, and logistical challenges in certain wards.
