Rajasthan Police Warns of 'Boss Message' Cyber Scams

🗓 25 Jun 2026, 02:31 AM 👁 1

Rajasthan Police has issued an alert regarding cyber fraud where scammers impersonate bosses and regulatory bodies via WhatsApp, urging employees to verify payment requests.

Cybersecurity authorities in Rajasthan have issued a stern warning about a growing trend of online fraud targeting employees. Scammers are reportedly using platforms like WhatsApp to impersonate senior management or 'bosses' within organizations.

The fraudulent messages often involve urgent payment requests or other financial transactions. Additionally, impersonation of fake regulatory bodies is also being employed to lend credibility to the scams. Police are advising all employees to exercise extreme caution and to rigorously verify any such directives, especially those involving monetary transfers.

To prevent falling victim to these cybercrimes, individuals are strongly encouraged to confirm the authenticity of any communication from superiors or official-sounding entities through established channels before proceeding with any payments or sensitive actions.
