Baran police have announced a 25‑paise reward for the capture of Naresh Meena, wanted for assaulting forest workers and stealing a generator from the Nahargarh range office, after arresting two of his accomplices.
Baran district police in Rajasthan have intensified the hunt for Naresh Meena, a youth leader who is alleged to have assaulted forest department staff and absconded with a generator from the Nahargarh range office. The authorities have declared a cash reward of 25 paise for information leading to his arrest.
Superintendent of Police Abhishek Andasu announced the reward during a press briefing, emphasizing that the modest sum is intended to encourage local residents to come forward with any tip about Meena's whereabouts.
Two of Meena's alleged accomplices have already been taken into custody, and the police have launched a focused search operation in the Chavanni area of Baran. Officials say the investigation remains active and they are urging the public to cooperate.
The case underscores growing concerns over violence against forest personnel and the illegal appropriation of government equipment in the region.
