Member of Parliament CP Joshi has been appointed as team leader of India’s delegation to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government.
The Ministry of External Affairs has named Chittorgarh MP CP Joshi as the head of India’s official delegation to the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York. Joshi will travel to the United States as the team leader, overseeing a group of diplomats, senior officials and subject‑matter experts representing the country at the high‑level forum.
The appointment comes ahead of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, where member states will discuss global challenges ranging from climate change to peacekeeping. As team leader, Joshi is expected to coordinate India’s speeches, negotiate on resolutions and ensure that the nation’s positions are effectively communicated.
