The Rajasthan government has prepared a draft policy to boost adventure tourism, outlining specific activities and destinations for inclusion after benchmarking with other states.
Jaipur – The state tourism department of Rajasthan has completed a draft framework aimed at expanding adventure tourism across the region. The proposal enumerates a range of adventure activities such as trekking, rock climbing, desert safaris and water sports, and pairs each with identified locations that possess the requisite terrain and infrastructure.
The draft policy will be cross‑checked against similar initiatives in states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Gujarat to ensure competitive standards and best‑practice alignment. Officials plan to refine the list based on this comparative analysis before presenting the final version to the state cabinet.
