Punjab's total paddy arrival and procurement has exceeded 150 lakh metric tonnes, announced Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak.
Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak announced that the combined volume of paddy arriving at procurement centres and purchased under Punjab's procurement scheme has crossed the 150 lakh metric tonne mark this season.
The milestone reflects both the grain delivered by farmers to mandis and the amount bought by the state, indicating a strong harvest performance.
State officials said the achievement underscores the effectiveness of recent agricultural policies and will help maintain price stability for farmers ahead of the upcoming Rabi season.
The Punjab government plans to sustain procurement efforts through the Food Corporation of India and state agencies to support farmers further.
