Five Dead, Multiple Injured in Tractor‑Trolley Crash in Sitapur, UP

Sitapur district police confirmed that a tractor‑trolley collided with a vehicle on a rural road on Saturday, resulting in five fatalities and a number of injuries. The senior police official, speaking at the district headquarters, said the victims were local residents traveling on the same route when the accident occurred.

Emergency services arrived promptly, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment. Preliminary investigations suggest that the tractor‑trolley may have lost control on a slippery stretch of the road, though a full inquiry is underway to determine the exact cause.

Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution, especially on narrow country lanes during monsoon conditions, and have promised to review road safety measures in the area to prevent similar tragedies.
