Punjab has been placed on alert with an advisory for heavy rainfall expected to commence today and continue for four days. Cities like Jalandhar and Amritsar experienced significant downpours this morning, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures.
The Meteorological Department has issued a four-day alert for heavy rainfall across Punjab, starting today. Residents can expect significant downpours throughout the state. This advisory comes as several parts of Punjab, including major cities like Jalandhar and Amritsar, witnessed intense rainfall early this morning.
The unseasonal showers have brought a much-needed respite from the prevailing heat. Temperatures, which had reportedly reached up to 40 degrees Celsius in some areas, have seen a considerable drop following the morning's precipitation. The forecast suggests continued wet weather for the next few days.
