The Punjab government hosted a delegation of investors from the United Arab Emirates at a high‑profile summit in Dubai on 15 September 2024. The event aimed to showcase Punjab’s investment climate and to secure commitments in sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy and technology.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Finance Minister Bhagwant Singh presented a package of incentives, including tax holidays, land lease options and a dedicated investment facilitation cell. They also announced a streamlined approval process that guarantees clearances within 30 days.
Punjab’s officials assured investors that the state would provide full government support, from initial site selection to post‑investment services. The government has already set up a 24/7 helpline and a digital portal to track project progress.
Analysts expect the summit to boost foreign direct investment inflows by an estimated 10% in the next fiscal year, strengthening Punjab’s position as a preferred destination for Gulf investors.
