Samastipur police launched a raid on a suspected Flipkart loot operation on Thursday, focusing on a warehouse that investigators linked to a series of thefts involving the e‑commerce giant's inventory. The operation was part of a broader crackdown on organized looting across four districts of Bihar.
During the sweep, officers confronted Manish Kumar Singh, a known criminal with a history of robbery, dacoity and violations of the Arms Act. In the ensuing exchange, Singh sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg, after which he was taken into custody for medical treatment.
Two of Singh's associates were arrested on the spot and are being held for questioning. Police officials said the detainees are suspected of participating in the Flipkart theft and other related offences.
Authorities disclosed that Singh faces more than 28 pending cases, including loot, dacoity and arms violations, spanning four districts. The police have pledged to continue their investigation to recover stolen goods and bring all involved parties to justice.
