Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with US Vice President J.D. Vance to review and reinforce the strategic partnership between India and the United States.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with US Vice President J.D. Vance on Thursday in New Delhi to review the India‑US strategic partnership. The meeting followed a series of high‑level talks that have been underway since the launch of the partnership framework in 2018.

The leaders discussed a range of issues from defense cooperation and joint military exercises to trade, investment and technology collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties in areas such as cybersecurity, renewable energy and counter‑terrorism.

Modi highlighted that the partnership is “ever‑evolving” and essential for maintaining regional stability, while Vance emphasized that India remains a key partner for the United States in the Indo‑Pacific region.

The officials agreed to accelerate the implementation of several joint initiatives, including a new defense procurement plan and a trade‑agreement roadmap, and pledged to deepen cooperation in the coming years.
