Pickup Dumper Crash on Bhind‑Gwalior Road Claims Eight Lives, 26 Injured

On a rainy evening, a pickup dumper traveling from Lucknow to Bhind lost control on the Bhind‑Gwalior road near Chhimka village and struck a group of eight labourers. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, trapping the workers inside. Eight men died at the scene, while 26 others sustained varying degrees of injury. Emergency services rushed the injured to Gohad Hospital, where initial treatment was administered before the most severely hurt were transferred to Gwalior for advanced care. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining road conditions and vehicle maintenance records.
